I am from the family of Thomas H. Stebbins. We had our family dating back to Rowland 1636! I am the 12th generation in that line. My dad is buried (2018) in Hartford, Conn with a whole bunch of Stebbins and he paid to have a big stone with all 11 generations listed back to Rowland Stebbins! Yes, we are proud of our Stebbins line!

I had a Stebbins come through my security ticket line on Monday in Salt Lake. He gave me this website to maybe help me with my genealogy. My Great Grandfather was
Ernest Elmer 1883-1962
William F 1862-1911 married to Ethel Blair
Silas B 1833-1886 married to ?unknown

Do you have any of these in your tree? If not, thank you anyway. This line and 2 other male lines have brick walls.

Nona, That would be Tyler Stebbins who you met in the security line. There are several named Elmer and a Silas or two mentioned in The Stebbins Genealogy by Greenlee, Ralph Stebbins and Greenlee, Robert Lemuel. I’m also a descendent of Rowland Stebbins! Amazing write up! From my personal research I’m under the assumption that just about every single person with the Surname is actually related. Correct me if I’m wrong but I find the families history so interesting!

Brendyn, Some genealogies claim ~97% of Stebbins in the US descended from Rowland.
